The new 2020 RAM also has a new auxiliary camera system, which supports the two conventional cameras. The 50-gallon fuel tank is now offered as optional in the Crew Cab models, which have an eight-foot bed. The off-road-capable Power Wagon has black wheels, while the other models come in two colors of hydro blue and olive green.

Performance

The 2020 RAM 3500 offers three engine choices for Red Hook, NY shoppers. The 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 comes as a standard, producing 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet. This engine is mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox that offers responsive performance due to the power and torque matching curve.

The Cummins® 6.7-liter turbodiesel I-6 engine that generates 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque is found on the next trim levels. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. RAM 3500 also offers a high-output version to the Cummins® 6.7-liter turbodiesel I-6 that generates 400 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet. This high output has a six-speed automatic transmission.

The RAM 3500 with a regular cab configuration has a maximum payload of 7,680 pounds when fitted with the lighter HEMI® V8 dual rear wheels. When bundled with the high-output Cummins® V8, then its towing capacity becomes 35,100 pounds with a maximum payload of 6,570 pounds.

Safety

The 2020 RAM 3500 has plenty of safety features such as automated emergency braking in all its trim levels. This truck comes with front, front side, and side curtain airbags as standard. The RAM 3500 also includes a rear-view camera.

The 2020 RAM 3500 is available as either a three-seater regular cab, five-or-six-seat crew cab, or five-or six-seat Mega Cab trucks. The crew or regular cabs come with an eight-foot bed, while The Mega Cab and crew cab have the option of the six-foot, four-inch bed. The Mega Cab offers 12.1 cubic feet of interior storage located behind the reclining rear seats. 

Trims

The 2020 RAM 3500 comes in five trim levels: The 2020 RAM 3500 Tradesman, which is the base model that offers all the features of the base model truck. 2020 RAM 3500 Big Horn/Lone Star, the Lone Star is a Texas-only truck, has the same features as the Big Horn.

The 2020 RAM 3500 Laramie is a mid-level truck that offers a lot of technology such as rear parking sensors, remote-release tailgate with the option of including more advanced features.
